Three Significant Events Before the Age of 14

The first significant event that I can remember is actually the one I was going to tell about my accident the day before the first-day of school. Because everytime I started school after it I couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened to me that first day, whe I was on the bike and all of a sudden I see this other bike coming at me. After the collision I found my self on the ground with my leg in between the tire twisted and broken. At first I did not feel any pain, but as soon as I tried to get up I started crying. Later in my childhood when I was in 3rd grade my dad got bitten by a balck widow which sent him to the hospital and had him in a coma for 2 weeks. This was the hardest 2 weeks of my life because my dad’s life was on the line, and all I saw was my mom crying and my grandparents consoling her. But the image that impacted me the most was seeing my dad laying in bed not moving at all. I always thought that my dad would always be with me, but then he seemed so vulnerable. Finally another significant event in my life was my parents decision to come to the United States. When I was 14 years old my mom and dad heard about a family member that had come to the US to work. Eventghough my dad had a very well stablished position in a contracting company , they decided that coming here would be best for me and my siblings because there were more opportunities here. This impacted me in a great way because I left all my friends cousins back home and I was coming to a country were I didn’t speak the language and did not know the culture.

Earliest Memory

Well I don’t know when my first memory is but I really have lots of memories from my childhood, from the times we played outside with my brother and neighbors to the times that we got in trouble for doing something that we were not supose to. But one of most memorable moments in my life that I can remember I would say would have to be the first day in elementary school. Not only because it was the first day I would go to an actual school other than preschool, but also because the day before school started I broke my leg ridding my bike. For what I can remember it was a Monday afternoon and the streets were blocked and the cars were not allowed to circulate, so everyone took out their bikes and decided to go out and ride since the danger of car accidents was removed. However not for me the danger was still there, because it was my first time biking out in the major roads, without my parents suppervision. Since I did not own a bike at the time my cousin let me borrow his, eventhough his bike was a bit bigger then mine, making it hard to manuver.
