Visual Representation

What types of visual representation used in my field??

Well in the medical/biology fields the visual representation techniques that are used more commonly are things like x-rays, MRI, Cat Scan. While more in the biology side of the field pictures are used more commonly, because they want to capture what is actually happening in the field. For example if you are a marine ecologist and you go out to sea looking for the patterns of life of a certain species you want to take down video, or at least pictures that document your findings.

What is it used for??

In the medical field they use all kinds of visual aids. MRI is used to be able to look inside of a persons body with out having to cut them, this way we can locate the origin of the problem before the patient goes into the OR. Another more popular visual aid in the medical field would be an x-ray, which help look at your bones in particular to look for fractures and for cracks in your bones. It is also used to determine if a patient has tuberculosis or not.

Grant Presentation

In order to have a good presentation you first need to have your research done. Because you first want to know what you are going to be talking about. Then you might one to start thinking about setting up an outline on how you are going to do this, maybe include key points that you want to hit when presenting. Third you want to have a presentation that is appealing to the eye of the audience, with images and not only words. Finally you might want to concentrate in making sure that at the end of the project you have a proposal and have a point to ask for money. In my case, after seeing the presentations today, I was thinking of making a PowerPoint presentation where i include the things necessary to run the experiment, and also maybe inform the audience of the methods used to achieve this.
- Introduction to M. Genitalium
- Background information about the method used
- Methodology
- Necessities to roll out the plan
- What benefits do they get??
- How long will this project take??
