Visual Representation

What types of visual representation used in my field??

Well in the medical/biology fields the visual representation techniques that are used more commonly are things like x-rays, MRI, Cat Scan. While more in the biology side of the field pictures are used more commonly, because they want to capture what is actually happening in the field. For example if you are a marine ecologist and you go out to sea looking for the patterns of life of a certain species you want to take down video, or at least pictures that document your findings.

What is it used for??

In the medical field they use all kinds of visual aids. MRI is used to be able to look inside of a persons body with out having to cut them, this way we can locate the origin of the problem before the patient goes into the OR. Another more popular visual aid in the medical field would be an x-ray, which help look at your bones in particular to look for fractures and for cracks in your bones. It is also used to determine if a patient has tuberculosis or not.
